POSITION SUMMARY:

The Environmental Services Field Technician is responsible for operational tasks related to emergency response and the cleanup of hazardous and non-hazardous spills, as well as Hazmat Decontamination work.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily tasks will include confined space entry, such as manhole inspections, tank cleaning, oil spill remediation, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, high-pressure washing, and various other remedial activities.

Operates light and heavy equipment related to cleanup, including roll-off trucks, vacuum trucks, box trucks, skid steers, forklifts, pumps, and pallet jacks. Responds to customer spills and emergencies during business hours and after hours.

Conducts pre-trip and post-trip Department of Transportation inspections.
Maintains vehicle logs.
Performs general housekeeping, including maintenance of equipment and work sites.
Completes other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to operate heavy and light equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Proficient in using hand and shop tools, and instruments.

Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Must be able to prioritize tasks, remain focused, and manage multiple responsibilities.

A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions. Current 40-hour HAZWOPER Training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
