Senior Neurophysiological Monitoring Technician

The Senior Neurophysiological Monitoring Technician plays a crucial role in conducting and overseeing various modalities of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring during surgical procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, motor cranial nerve recordings, spontaneous or evoked electromyography (EMG), spinal screw stimulation, intraoperative somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP), electroencephalography (EEG), brainstem auditory evoked potentials (BAER), and transcranial electrical motor evoked potentials (TCeMEP). These activities are essential for the localization of the sensorimotor cortex during neurosurgical and interventional radiology interventions.
Position Details: Full-time with a rotating schedule, totaling 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in anatomy, physiology, biological sciences, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in intraoperative monitoring is required.
- Certification in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) is preferred; however, candidates without licensure are encouraged to inquire about potential opportunities.
- Current BLS certification is necessary.
- Advanced understanding of operating room protocols, particularly concerning sterile techniques and infection control, is essential.
