Senior Intraoperative Neurophysiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Intraoperative Neurophysiology Specialist to join our team at Johns Hopkins HealthCare. As a key member of our neurosurgical team, you will be responsible for performing and monitoring various modalities of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and monitor intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring for neurosurgical, vascular, pediatric, ENT, orthopedic spine, and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Conduct motor cranial nerve recording, spontaneous or evoked electromyography (EMG), spinal screw and direct nerve stimulation, intraoperative somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP), intraoperative electroencephalography (EEG), intraoperative brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAER), and intraoperative transcranial electrical motor evoked potentials (TCeMEP).
  • Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective monitoring.
  • Develop and implement protocols for intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in anatomy/physiology, biological sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 6-12 months of IOM experience.
  • Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM licensure).
  • BLS certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of operating room procedures and protocols related to sterile technique and infection control.
