Position Overview

The Project Manager for Strategic Initiatives AMER is tasked with orchestrating, facilitating, and driving collaboration across functions for AUT AMER strategic initiatives. This role demands a highly organized, results-oriented professional with a strategic outlook and proficient project management capabilities. The chosen candidate will partner closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to define, plan, and implement these critical business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Collaboration: Work with senior leadership to convert essential business requirements into strategic initiatives. Clarity in Structure and Execution: Transform strategic initiatives into actionable plans that can be executed by cross-functional teams. Stakeholder Communication: Establish project priorities, maintain effective communication, and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and challenges. Leadership through Influence: Guide cross-functional teams, ensuring they have the clarity and support needed for successful execution. Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential risks and formulate strategies to minimize disruptions. Project Planning and Oversight: Create comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Deliverable Frameworks: Develop frameworks for teams to adhere to and create executive presentation materials. Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project success and guide the development of digital dashboards.

Desired Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred but not mandatory. Project Management Credentials: Formal project management education and PMP certification are preferred. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience is required; ideal candidates will have backgrounds in corporate PMO, strategy offices, or management consulting. Proven Success: Demonstrated history of managing large-scale, strategic projects effectively. Matrix Organization Leadership: Experience in leading within a matrix organization is essential. Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills with senior leadership teams.

Communication Proficiency: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Multi-Project Management: Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Prioritization Skills: Ability to set priorities within complex business needs. Interpersonal Skills: Political savvy in dealing with diverse stakeholders. Financial Acumen: Understanding of project evaluation and business case development. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.

Additional Skills (Desirable but not mandatory):

Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of automotive manufacturing and supply chain processes. Project Management Success: Proven success in project management and new product introduction in technical product portfolios. Resource Management: High competency in project, program, and resource management. Multicultural Experience: Extensive experience working with diverse, cross-functional teams. Methodological Experience: Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies. PPM Tools: Experience with Project Portfolio Management tools. Change Management: Experience in influencing cultural change management. Automotive Experience: Background in tier-1 automotive suppliers or OEM suppliers. Process Knowledge: Familiarity with Six Sigma and LEAN process methods. Risk Management: Experience in change and risk management. APQP Knowledge: Understanding of the general automotive APQP process. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel within the Americas region as needed to support project objectives. Technical Knowledge: Good working knowledge of connectors, harnesses, or integrated systems and manufacturing processes.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $119,380 - $179,040 (subject to change based on location)

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
