Job Summary

TAS Environmental Services, L.P. is a leading provider of environmental services, offering a range of solutions including emergency response, industrial cleaning, waste management, and midstream services.

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Safety Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor solid safety strategies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of EHS safety programs, engineering controls, employee training, and behavior-based safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client requirements, and identify changes in the scope of work or equipment to eliminate occupational hazards.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions, update administrative controls, and ensure project personnel are adequately trained in emergency response plan procedures.
  • Manage emergency contact information for occupational clinics, minor emergency centers, emergency action plans, law enforcement, or first responder contacts.
  • Ensure all required EHS-related employee training is identified and conducted as required.
  • Assist with the development, review, and/or update of EHS programs, policies, and procedures for all business lines.
  • Maintain all required EHS records and ensure mandatory reporting requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and audit procedures.
  • Ability to coach and teach proper safety practices.
  • Promote up-to-date safety audit techniques and use approved EHS evaluation methods.
  • Serve as the EHS subject matter expert, supporting employees, supervisors, safety champions, or clients to improve best practices, safe work methods, and processes.
