Position Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for delivering comprehensive speech and language therapy services. This role involves working with students to assess and enhance their communication abilities in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough assessments of students' communication skills, including oral-motor function, cognitive abilities, and speech fluency.
2. Evaluate the home environment when necessary and determine equipment needs related to speech and language.
3. Identify speech and language disorders and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.
4. Implement speech therapy programs using specialized techniques and equipment.
5. Educate patients, caregivers, and team members about their roles in the therapy process.
6. Recommend appropriate communication devices and hearing assessments as needed.
7. Document clinical progress and prepare summary notes based on goal attainment.
8. Instruct families and caregivers on treatment plans and necessary interventions.
9. Facilitate referrals for additional services as required.
10. Adhere to professional standards and maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:
- Must possess a degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant state.
- Previous experience in a professional setting is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with all relevant standards of practice.
- Proficiency in communication and computer skills is essential.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
