Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting HazTek's operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that the necessary safety professional pipelines are filled with qualified candidates who can be onboarded promptly.

This role operates in a hybrid format, requiring in-office presence one day a week.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the safety sector to effectively collaborate with hiring managers and fulfill staffing needs.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences for designated roles.
  • Execute targeted recruiting strategies to attract both active and passive job seekers.
  • Work closely with Operations to anticipate and address sourcing requirements.
  • Screen candidates based on specific role qualifications and desired skill sets.
  • Utilize an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage job postings and candidate applications.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Create professional candidate profiles for client presentations as necessary.
  • Assist with various projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in high-volume recruiting or human resources, with a focus on recruitment.
  • At least two years of experience in a sales-oriented service role, engaging directly with decision-makers.
  • Proficient in utilizing various modern and cost-effective sourcing techniques.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional or military experience.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and/or a technical safety background.
  • Experience supporting a decentralized workforce for at least one year.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with ICIMS or other ATS platforms.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Exhibit a positive, enthusiastic, and energetic demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Work Schedule:

This hybrid role includes one day at the corporate office and remote work for the remainder of the week. Typical working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional weekend or evening commitments.
