Job Summary:

The F5 Load Balancing Engineer - Design and Implementation Expert will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing F5 load balancing solutions across various environments. This role involves working with application, network, and security teams to optimize traffic flow, maintain high availability, and ensure the security and performance of application delivery networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement F5 load balancing solutions to ensure high availability and security of application delivery networks.
  • Work with application, network, and security teams to optimize traffic flow and ensure the security and performance of application delivery networks.
  • Handle advanced troubleshooting and design scalable solutions to meet business needs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive automation efforts to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience working with F5 load balancing technologies, specifically BIG-IP modules (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM, AFM).
  • 5+ years of experience in configuring and managing load balancers, including traffic management and optimization.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience in diagnosing complex load balancing issues, network traffic flow, and application performance problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with iRules scripting, SSL offloading, and load balancing methodologies (Layer 4 and Layer 7).
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL) and related infrastructure.
  • Experience working with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
