As a key member of our manufacturing team at TriMas Corporation, you will be responsible for setting up and operating single and/or multi-die headers to produce precision aircraft quality fasteners. This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret documents, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret documents, such as blueprints and manufacturing work orders, to determine the necessary tools and materials for producing products to precision tolerance.
  • Set up and operate assigned headers and their related products, making adjustments as needed to produce parts to specifications.
  • Load machines with raw material and monitor production runs using measuring devices, such as comparators, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Rework and direct reworking of tooling as needed.
  • Keep accurate statistical process control records and make adjustments during production runs as directed by SPC data.
  • Meet and maintain all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance on assigned machines.
  • Perform record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follow safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
