Senior Principal Survivability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Survivability Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of Tier 1 – 3 diagnostic RCS/RF tests, working with leadership across multiple programs to ensure efficient and accurate signature characterization of full-scale vehicles and their components.
Responsibilities- Operating and maintaining Tier 1 – 3 RCS testing / inspection tools for signature characterization and diagnostics.
- Designing, planning, and executing RCS/RF tests, to include determining test requirements, testing methods, equipment / measurement selection, test setup, and pre/posttest reporting.
- Analyzing system and component test results, working with program survivability personnel to determine compliance to signature requirements, evaluating design trades, and making recommendations for materials, composites, and other aspects of survivability performance.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9+ years of engineering experience, or 7 years with a Master's degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
- Active DoD SECRET (or higher) clearance, within 5 years of last investigation.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a special access program clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- MS degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, materials science, or chemical engineering; physics; chemistry; computer science; or applied mathematics from an ABET accredited university.
- Demonstrated experience using Tier 1-3 diagnostics systems to categorize RCS performance.
- Proficiency in RF testing at an indoor RCS/RF test facility.
- Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills to enable effective personal interaction and collaboration with a multi-disciplined team and customers.
