We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for analyzing, researching, and developing structural engineering analysis packages involving metals, non-metallic, or composite structural materials for product design or operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with senior engineering team to develop solutions to difficult problems that are thorough, imaginative, practical, and consistent with program objectives.
- Coordinate and clear communication with other disciplines during the development of design solutions.
- Concise presentation and explanation of structural issues/solutions to internal management and customer representatives.
- Review of completed analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Evaluation of engineering products for conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM-related field with 5 or more years of engineering experience or MS in STEM-related field with 3 years of engineering experience or PhD in STEM.
- Active in-scope DOD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) to start.
- Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and documentation, and manipulation of large Finite Element Models.
- Experience working Material Review Board (MRB) statement of work.
- Experience in Bonded Composite Structural Analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.
- Experience as a team lead or section lead for stress analysis.
- Experience performing DaDt analysis on composite structure.
- Experience performing DaDt analysis on metal structure.
- Experience working on Special Access Programs.
- Experience working on military aircraft.
- Analysis experience in a MRB role.
