Job Title: Crisis Intervention Specialist

Cascadia Health is seeking a highly skilled Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will provide crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises in Multnomah County.

Job Summary:

The Crisis Intervention Specialist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide crisis intervention services, including immediate crisis response, de-escalation, risk assessment, crisis stabilization planning, and resource connection. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a behavioral science field and experience working in a non-profit organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mobile crisis response to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises
  • Assess risk factors for harm to self or others and develop crisis stabilization plans
  • Provide trauma support to DHS staff after critical incidents
  • Facilitate trainings on de-escalation, trauma-informed approaches, and mobile crisis information
  • Coordinate responses to crisis situations with community agencies and service providers
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a behavioral science field
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization
  • Ability to conduct mental status assessments and formulate diagnoses
  • Advanced knowledge of risk assessment and crisis intervention
