About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) in Clackamas County. As a key member of our team, you will provide face-to-face crisis intervention services to individuals and families across the lifespan experiencing mental health emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide field-based risk assessment, crisis intervention, case management, consultation, and referral services to individuals in need.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement, community partners, and other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Assess and evaluate clients to determine treatment needs and level of risk to self and others.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, and provide psychotherapeutic services to clients and their families.
  • Work as a key member of a crisis team, making referrals to other community clinics, agencies, or care facilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification as established by the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
  • Minimum of one year of related experience, with a focus on crisis intervention, case management, and mental health services.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a professional mental health team, and to diagnose and treat clients.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of group and individual therapy, as well as case management methods and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current licensure in a behavioral health-related field (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
  • Experience working collaboratively with law enforcement, community partners, and other mental health professionals.
  • Experience working in a community-based setting, such as mobile outreach or crisis assessment, in-home counseling, schools, or crisis clinics.
