Position Summary:
The HR Generalist role is integral to the daily operations of the Human Resources department, focusing on the administration of policies, procedures, and programs. This position encompasses various HR functions, including payroll management, benefits administration, Human Resource Information Systems, and the recruitment of hourly staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with payroll and benefits administration.
- Organize employee recognition and engagement events.
- Provide guidance to employees on work-related matters.
- Facilitate the recruitment process for hourly positions using appropriate tools and software.
- Maintain accurate records for EEO and affirmative action reporting.
- Collaborate with management to address daily labor requirements and oversee production labor in accordance with union agreements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Relevant internships or co-op experience in HR is mandatory.
- Exemplary professionalism and ethical standards are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in conflict resolution, are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a unionized work environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
