Position Overview

The Cloud Services Library Analyst role is a vital position that supports the integration and utilization of cloud-based collaborative tools, primarily focusing on the Microsoft 365 platform. This position involves working closely with internal stakeholders to identify business needs and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the adoption and ongoing support of Microsoft 365 services through both in-person and virtual training sessions for library staff.
  • Manage user account creation and licensing, while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues of varying complexity.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for SharePoint and other content management systems.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of IT projects related to Microsoft 365 and other web services.
  • Collect and document business requirements from users to configure solutions within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation and user knowledge bases.
  • Design and manage Office 365 SharePoint sites, ensuring secure system configurations and access monitoring.
  • Assist in data migration processes to the Microsoft 365 platform.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members and site owners to implement new process automation solutions and provide ongoing operational support.

Essential Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills for delivering technical training to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and platform administration.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and various programming languages such as C#, PHP, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Python, and MySQL.
  • Understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Ability to configure components within Azure Active Directory.

Qualifications

  • An Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with three years of experience in administering Microsoft 365 applications, or
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with one year of experience in administering Microsoft 365 applications, or
  • A Bachelor's degree with two years of experience in administering Microsoft 365 applications.
