Job Summary:

USA Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist - Neurology to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the development of innovative medical treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in a variety of outpatient clinic settings, including assessing health status, performing telephone triage, and establishing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care, prepare and supervise preparation of clinic rooms and equipment, and assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by providers, monitor patients for response, and initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.
  • Provide health education to patients and families, develop, evaluate, adapt, and document education to meet learning needs, and assist in preparation of department-specific education for patients and colleagues.
  • Maintain inventories of supplies and medications, participate in quality initiatives, process improvements, and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and patient safety.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting the minimum standard set by the state of Alabama and a current Alabama RN license or current Multi-State RN License in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama.
