Medical Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures.
Job Summary:Under the supervision of a medical technologist or pathologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures, including blood counts, urinalyses, and other clinical laboratory tests. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of test results and communicating with healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective patient care.
Responsibilities:- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood counts, urinalyses, and other clinical laboratory tests.

- Work collaboratively with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies to ensure optimal patient care.
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Registry eligible or registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, National Certifying Agency, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and medical software.
