Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our patients' treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Provide primary and specialty care to patients, including health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patients' medical histories, current health status, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct health education and counseling sessions with patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies.
- Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant in the state of practice.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., family nurse practitioner, adult/geriatric nurse practitioner, pediatric nurse practitioner).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Eligibility for prescriptive authority in the state of practice.
