Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a collaborative healthcare professional, you will work closely with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary and urgent medical management, emergency stabilization of critically ill patients, and teaching of residents and medical students.
- Collaborate with PCCs, staff nurses, and discharge coordinators to plan, implement, and evaluate medical and nursing care.
- Assume responsibility for patient education, discharge planning, and staff development and education.
- Master's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant medicine or Health Sciences, or graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Training Program.
- Current License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice, Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate program (CPNP-AC), or License as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice, NCCPA Certified.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state of practice as outlined by the State Board of Nursing/Medical Examiners.
- 3 years' related working experience.
