Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Northern Children's Services. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and perform hands-on maintenance work, including repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance.
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and budgets, ensuring that all facilities are properly maintained and that costs are managed effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and develop plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance work is coordinated and that facilities are properly maintained.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring that maintenance work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training in building trades, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and facilities management, including supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as facilities management or construction management.
  • Certifications in areas such as OSHA, HVAC, or electrical work.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other maintenance management systems.
