Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Obtain and document patient medical and physical histories, as well as other relevant information in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Accurately record vital signs and perform non-complex office procedures, such as EKGs and spirometry.
  • Assist healthcare professionals during treatment, examination, and testing of patients, including injections and immunizations.
  • Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to distribute educational information and instructions for patient care, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Process prescription refill requests and communicate with patients regarding medication and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and address patient concerns and needs.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program is preferred.
  • One year of experience in a medical office setting, with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization is preferred.
