Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Breast Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound procedures on patients, preparing them for the exam, explaining the procedure, and positioning them for optimal imaging.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Conduct quality assurance on ultrasound equipment, maintaining optimal performance and adhering to safety standards.
  • Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Provide emergency call coverage within the department, ensuring prompt response to patient needs.
  • Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development through mandatory education and skills competency.
  • Support department-based goals, contributing to the success of the organization.
  • Model Memorial Hermann's service standards, providing personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
  • Registered Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-S) or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
