About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX developer to join our team at Stanford University. As an Oracle APEX developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing custom-built web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX), PL/SQL, Web Services, and other development tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop system solutions to business problems using Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle APEX
  • Review, analyze, fix, and improve existing code when issues and bugs arise
  • Define and solve logical problems for highly technical applications
  • Migrate code through different development environments using migration tools
  • Work with DBAs for infrastructure activities
  • Recognize and recommend needed changes in the application and/or operational procedures
  • Connect and communicate with technical and non-technical clients and team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Proficient in Oracle database development, design, and performance tuning
  • Proficient in developing applications using Oracle Applications Express (APEX)
  • 5+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development and SQL programming experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on Oracle APEX development experience
  • Experience with Web Services, JQuery/Javascript, CSS, HTML5 is a plus
  • Familiarity with application integrations using SnapLogic is a plus
  • Good team player. Coordination with other developers using tools such as Jira, Slack & Confluence
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and programming tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading activities on structured team development projects
  • Experience working in Agile teams a plus
