Our client is a dynamic company based near Newton, MA, seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join their team. With a strong focus on financial management, this company is expanding its operations and requires an experienced professional to manage accounts payable and receivable, as well as general ledger reconciliations.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable transactions, including follow-up on approvals and research of payment issues;
  • Processing credit card transactions and following up on 90+ day balances;
  • Reconciling bank statements, fixed assets, and prepaid accounts monthly;
  • Preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger;
  • Recording accruals for various accounts;
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies;
  • Assisting with audits, including providing necessary documentation and explanations;
  • Supporting month, quarter, and year-end close processes;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration;
  • At least 2 years of experience in an accounting-based role;
  • Experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite is a plus;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently;
