Sanitation and Equipment Specialist

Dishroom Responsibilities
- Proficient in utilizing mops, brooms, appropriate cleaning agents, and safety gear (including safety footwear, back support, face shields, etc.);
- Ensure thorough cleaning of airline equipment, trolleys, and ovens during the dishwashing process, maintaining high standards on both input and output sides of the dish machine;
- Maintain a clean work environment by promptly addressing standing water, waste, or debris to comply with USDA regulations regarding international waste disposal;
- Continuously uphold cleanliness throughout the shift by communicating effectively with department leads, supervisors, and the Department Manager;
- Timely and organized disposal of waste to uphold operational safety and satisfaction;
- Adhere to all workplace regulations, including strict compliance with the company’s dress code (uniform, appearance, and hygiene standards);
- Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and safety protocols to prevent accidents;
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods in varying temperatures and in wet conditions;
- Capability to work in a loud environment due to dish machines and equipment movement;
- Perform additional duties as assigned by upper management.
Sanitation Duties
- Skilled in operating floor scrubbers, cleaning agents, and safety equipment (including goggles, face shields, and respiratory masks);
- Thoroughly clean kitchens (post-cooking), including floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, and drains, in accordance with company standards;
- Monitor and report on activity progress through ongoing communication with department supervisors and the Department Manager;
- Propose and implement changes as necessary to enhance satisfaction and operational safety;
- Strictly adhere to workplace policies, including enforcement of the company’s dress code;
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and safety measures to prevent accidents;
- Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by upper management.
Equipment Management Responsibilities
- Capable of reading and comprehending loading manuals for packing airline equipment;
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions accurately;
- Willingness to learn various configurations for packing equipment across multiple airline accounts;
- Adept at identifying different dishes by interpreting airline codes on each item;
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times;
- Follow all directives and assignments from the Equipment Lead promptly;
- Report any discrepancies observed in the cleanliness of delivered equipment from the dish room.
Compensation: $21.04 per hour
