Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Center Manager to join our team at ABO Plasma. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our donor center, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service to our donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Center Manager in overseeing daily operations, including donor flow, personnel management, and facility maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations, state regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the safety and integrity of blood products.
  • Provide training and support to employees on company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to investigate and resolve any issues or concerns related to donor suitability, product integrity, or facility safety.
  • Assist with product shipments and ensure timely delivery to consignees.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including donor data, product inventory, and facility maintenance records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Center Manager or Quality Assurance team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience or 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a regulatory industry required.
  • Plasma industry experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Certified in the Reception area, Donor Floor area, and Plasma Processing within 6 months of becoming an Assistant Center Manager.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet software.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Travel as required.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment with regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other conditions common to a donor center. Personal protective equipment is required, including eyewear, lab coats, and gloves. May work in a walk-in freezer for short intervals of time (-20C or colder).
