Job Summary

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Project Manager to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. As a key member of our High Voltage Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of high voltage projects from bidding to final construction.

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of experience in high voltage construction, customer service, and project management. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bid and prepare cost estimates for high voltage projects.
  • Prepare and oversee preconstruction budgets and scheduling.
  • Process contract drawings and specifications and ensure projects are completed in accordance with these documents.
  • Process and manage change orders.
  • Prepare billings and ensure timely payment of billings.
  • Monitor project's material and labor costs and ensure accurate quality reporting.
  • Read, interpret, analyze, and forecast project cost reports and determine the status of the job in terms of schedule and cost.
  • Be aware of unit costs and monitor and compare daily progress on site with that of the project's estimate.
  • Conduct project meetings as needed.
  • Coordinate, manage, and communicate with all vendors and effectively deal with problems such as delivery, labor, schedule, and payment disputes.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of trade unions, their agreements, and stipulations.
  • Ensure that the project is in a positive cash flow position and review project manager reports accurately and timely with direct Supervisor.
  • Work closely with customers and their specific high voltage needs.
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager while working with field crews.
  • Have a valid Driver's License.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Requirements:

  • Three plus years of high voltage construction, design, finance, and one year experience/knowledge of high voltage management experience managing projects required.
  • Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential.
  • Proficiency in department's computer system, department software, and typing necessary.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience working with electrical utilities and renewable energy suppliers.
  • A college degree.
  • Experience with Accubid, B2W, MS Projects, and Blue Beam Preferred.
  • Capable of managing multiple high revenue projects.
  • Design Build Experience is preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
