Key Responsibilities- Develop and enhance testing systems, including the modification of software and the design of mechanical testing frameworks.
- Analyze and troubleshoot production challenges related to both manual and automated testing equipment, encompassing hardware and software components.
- Engage in cross-functional teams focused on continuous improvement and new product development to identify testing requirements, enhance product testing designs, and oversee the launch of new systems.
- Prepare and submit project proposals to secure funding for project initiatives.
- Source and acquire necessary components, including PCBAs, to support both proactive and reactive maintenance of production testing systems.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in reviewing schematics, procedures, and specifications for effective troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications, agency standards, and industry regulations.
- Skilled in developing and executing test plans to validate production equipment prior to deployment.
- Knowledgeable in analog and digital circuit board design and layout.
- Basic experience in mechanical design, assembly, or automation.
- Exhibit a proactive approach when addressing customer support inquiries.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide timely technical updates to various stakeholders.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and working independently in a production environment.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in an electronic testing engineering setting.
- Familiarity with RoHS soldering and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in LabVIEW, NI TestStand, CVI, C, and Python.
- Experience in designing and developing testing equipment.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
This position offers various career levels:
- Entry Level: No prior experience required.
- Intermediate Level: Two years of relevant experience required; a Master's degree may substitute for up to two years of experience.
- Advanced Level: Three years of relevant experience required; a Master's degree may substitute for up to two years of experience.
- Senior Level: Five years of relevant experience required; a Master's degree may substitute for up to two years, and a PhD may substitute for up to four years of equivalent experience.
