Job Overview

Join the SIMOS team as a Facility Maintenance Specialist. In this position, you will engage in a variety of essential manual labor activities, which include, but are not limited to, lifting and relocating materials, loading and unloading transport vehicles, maintaining cleanliness within the facility, organizing inventory supplies, and assisting in various operational tasks. Candidates must possess training and certification on Reach and Order Picker Forklift. Initial training will occur during the first shift, while the actual position will be on the second shift from 2 PM to 10 PM. This role is temp-to-hire after completing 580 hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Manage waste disposal in production areas, including emptying trash receptacles and operating compactors
  • Handle recycling materials and operate cardboard balers
  • Distribute new cleaning rags and collect used ones
  • Facilitate chemical barrel exchanges using a barrel dolly
  • Remove ink barrels and cups from production zones
  • Provide cleaning services throughout the facility
  • Receive and count stock items, recording data using computer systems
  • Pack and unpack items for stocking in storage areas
  • Assist in the setup of meeting spaces and special events
  • Remove pallets from the production floor
  • Prepare misprints and defective products for transport
  • Maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors
  • Occasionally perform janitorial tasks, including sanitizing restrooms and restocking supplies
  • Rinse chemical containers for proper disposal
  • Support maintenance tasks under the guidance of Maintenance Specialists or Team Leads
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • All Facility Technician qualifications
  • Trained and certified on Reach and Order Picker Forklift
  • Experience in performing facility and production equipment preventive maintenance
  • Proficient in completing facility work order repairs
  • Experience in independently managing facility projects
  • Trained in mobile equipment battery maintenance
  • Certified in Haz-Mat handling
  • Minimum of one year experience in a maintenance department

ASSOCIATE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Background Check
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Drug Testing
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
