Job Title: Surgical Care Specialist

The Surgical Care Specialist is a critical role at SENTA Partners, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients undergoing surgery. This position requires a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide preoperative care and assessment of surgical patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of patient pre-surgery care, including assessment and documentation of patient condition.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, pain control, fluids intake/output, and report any abnormalities to anesthesiologist and/or surgeon as needed.
  • Provide education to patients and family members on pre-surgery care.
  • Perform chart reviews prior to completion in practice management software.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain equipment and report issues appropriately.
  • Clean and prepare equipment for next day's surgeries.
  • Report supply needs and low inventory levels to Charge Nurse.

Requirements:
  • Active RN license in practicing state.
  • Certification in CPR, ACLS required; PALS preferred.
  • A minimum of one-year experience in Pre-Op required.
