PRIMARY FUNCTION :
This role is dedicated to addressing customer requirements, responding to inquiries, and finalizing rental agreements. It facilitates rental coordination support among clients, service group leaders, sales representatives, and department managers. The position primarily involves engaging directly with customers to promote business and assist with any rental needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
I. Sales Coordination ... 80% of Time Spent

Acts as the initial point of contact for customers to assess their rental requirements, qualify their rental potential, and execute rental agreements.

Conducts regular customer site visits, including outreach to both existing and potential clients to solicit rental business.

Delivers equipment demonstrations to customers as required.

Occasionally transports and retrieves equipment and attachments from customer locations.

Provides direct support to walk-in customers and responds to phone inquiries from rental clients.

Follows up on all rental leads generated by other sales personnel, service associates, marketing initiatives, etc.

Engages in telemarketing efforts, ensuring the customer database is accurate and up-to-date.


Shares rental equipment specifications, applications, and basic operator training with both internal and external clients across various rental product lines.

Conducts routine follow-up visits to current customers to ensure satisfaction with the rental services provided.

Additionally, resolves inquiries from customers and interdepartmental staff regarding rental equipment needs and questions.

II. Record Keeping ... 20% of Time Spent

Ensures rental information is accurately documented and rental agreements are properly executed.

Submits all monthly business records (e.g., call reports, expense reports) in a timely manner.

Provides updates to group leaders regarding the status of rental equipment or any issues encountered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Education :


A four-year college degree with one year of business sales experience, preferably in equipment rentals; or a technical/business college degree in business with three years of relevant experience.

Physical :
This position requires regular travel to customer locations. Must meet strict month-end deadlines. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and interdepartmental colleagues regarding rental equipment inquiries.

Other :
The individual will utilize a CRT terminal and PC computer. Proficiency in software packages, particularly MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel), is required at an advanced beginner level.
