Job Summary:

We are seeking an Accurate Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team at Columbia University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll accounting and operations, and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of related experience in payroll accounting and operations, and a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of eight team members responsible for payroll operations and payroll accounting functions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax reporting and filings.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resource Processing Center (HRPC) and Columbia University Information Technology (CUIT) on system enhancements and upgrades.
What We Offer:
