Electrical Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a degreed electrical engineer with a passion for working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment within a growing organization. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with senior engineering staff from the initial conceptual electrical design to construction and commissioning of large and small facilities-type projects. You will collaborate with a diverse and experienced staff to resolve complex problems, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements, while benefiting from a solid quality control process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform design computations and develop construction cost estimates
  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
  • Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Attend meetings with clients and coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • 5-10 years' experience related to electrical power distribution, power generation, motor controls, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm design, telecommunications network design, or security systems design
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk's CADD and Autodesk's Revit
  • Proficient in discipline-specific design software
