Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight for the electrical engineering team and ensure quality assurance on various project deliverables.
- Lead design engineers in making informed decisions regarding mechanical design, equipment selection, and documentation.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients on larger, more complex projects involving multiple disciplines and external consultants.
- Maintain a strong technical foundation in electrical engineering principles and design.
- Broader knowledge in Low Voltage, Arc Flash, Energy Conservation, Mechanical, and Fire Protection engineering is advantageous.
- Develop proposals, including qualifications and technical approaches.
- Review contracts and manage project budgets, negotiating additional scopes of work as necessary.
- Assist in planning workloads for team members.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with all project stakeholders.
- Conduct occasional site visits to assess existing conditions and oversee construction phase inspections.
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships while seeking new opportunities, particularly in specialized sectors such as healthcare and retail.
- Experience managing both public and private sector clients is essential.
- Engage in continuous professional development and attend relevant training sessions.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of years of professional experience is necessary.
- Relevant professional certifications are preferred.
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment, and background checks may be required based on the position.
Performance Expectations
- Complete the Annual Individual Training Program.
- Mentor and train junior staff members.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular feedback and project identification.
- Ensure compliance with all KCI policies and procedures.
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary data for project execution.
- Prepare and submit project reports and updates as required.
