LPN or Certified Medical Assistant
About the Role:We are seeking a qualified LPN or Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Mount Prospect Academy. As an Evening Shift LPN/Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care to our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Medical Team: Work closely with our medical team to ensure the health and safety of our students.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications, including routine immunizations, as required.
- Pharmacy Coordination: Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure timely delivery and distribution of medications.
- Medical Visits: Assist physicians during medical and psychiatric visits, implementing medical orders and necessary follow-ups.
- Health Records: Maintain accurate student health records, utilizing both digital and hard-copy formats.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with families and agencies to address health-related concerns and coordinate necessary procedures.
- Appointments: Arrange and accompany students to medical appointments, acting as a liaison between agencies and healthcare providers.
- Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of student information at all times, reporting relevant updates to supervisors.
- Teamwork: Participate in staff meetings and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Valid Certification: Valid LPN or Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team.
