This is a live and local role, and the host must be based in Kansas City.

Responsibilities

Key Duties:

  • Create original content and deliver live broadcasts that are both entertaining and informative.
  • Engage and develop unique content for all social media platforms while managing an online presence.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Manager and team members to produce distinctive content for the show.
  • Interact with the audience on-air, online, and in person.
  • Stay informed about local and national trends in pop culture, lifestyle, and music.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and weekly coaching sessions.
  • Safeguard the station's FCC license.
  • Monitor music and commercial logs during air shifts.
  • Ensure proper execution of promotions and contests.
  • Operate the control board and handle production tasks.
  • Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

  • 5+ years of on-air experience preferred.
  • Strong production skills and familiarity with studio audio equipment, including digital systems.
  • Proficiency in social media and digital content creation.
  • A valid driver’s license and satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check are required.
