Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client Manager to join our team at Marsh McLennan Agency. As a Client Manager, you will be responsible for handling accounts, designing insurance programs, marketing accounts to insurance carriers, proposing renewal terms to clients, and interacting with clients on their day-to-day service needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management
    • Manage renewals and new business, acting as the initial point of contact for clients, carriers, and other members of the service team.
    • Solicit and follow up on renewal information from clients.
    • Design, market, and negotiate client renewals and new business with insurance carriers.
    • Prepare proposals and attend client meetings to discuss renewal proposals.
    • Bind insurance terms as directed by clients.
    • Transmit binders to clients in a timely manner.
  • Client Service
    • Provide day-to-day service to clients, consulting with them on inquiries about their insurance program.
    • Advise clients and carriers of any changes necessary to their insurance program.
  • Insurance Program Administration
    • Oversee the administration of insurance programs, including endorsements, certificates of insurance, invoices, account receivables, finance agreements, audits, and automatic renewals.
  • Client Information Management
    • Update Sagitta and maintain client files in IR.
    • Summarize and schedule insurance programs.
  • Support to Client Service Executive
    • Prepare renewal information requests.
    • Maintain Sagitta with updated client information.
    • Prepare Acord applications.
    • Prepare Loss Summaries and Large Loss Reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2-3 years of daily World Class Client service or a minimum of 3 years industry experience showing increasing responsibility directly related to the performance of the above duties.
  • Maintain a valid unrestricted California Fire & Casualty Solicitors license.
  • Advanced insurance designations applicable to the above duties strongly preferred, as well as a willingness to pursue continuing education and professional development.
  • Significantly exceed expectations in existing position if currently employed at MMA.
  • Excellent understanding of insurance terminology, the functions of an insurance brokerage agency, and the various lines of Business Insurance insurance.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Prioritize tasks, set and achieve goals, think logically in solving problems, and present results neatly, with clarity and precision in both oral and written form.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods, as well as the use of office equipment such as fax and copy machines, and telephones.
  • Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Occasional travel to client sites may be required, which may include an overnight stay.
  • Individual shall not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

The base salary range for this role is $78,400 to $125,500. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
