Position Summary
The Energy Storage Solutions Manager is tasked with overseeing the technical dimensions of energy storage initiatives, ensuring the effective delivery of innovative energy storage systems. This role is crucial in the design, implementation, and management of energy storage projects, providing strategic direction and support to the project team. A robust understanding of energy storage technologies, project management expertise, and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the technical phases of energy storage projects from inception to completion, encompassing design, planning, execution, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and refine energy storage solutions that meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Act as the authority on energy storage technologies, including battery systems, pumped hydro, and compressed air, while staying abreast of industry advancements.
- Effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders to clarify project needs, resolve technical issues, and provide insights for successful project delivery.
- Identify and evaluate technical risks associated with energy storage projects, developing strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.
- Establish and uphold quality control measures to ensure compliance with safety standards and performance expectations.
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to the project team, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional development.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, progress reports, and updates to keep stakeholders informed about project status.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, technological innovations, and cost-effective solutions to improve project efficiency and sustainability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Performance Metrics:
- Completion rate of energy storage projects within the designated timeline.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy management, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
- A minimum of two years' experience with battery energy storage systems.
- Demonstrated experience in technical project management within the energy storage sector, with a proven record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Comprehensive knowledge of energy storage technologies, their applications, and market trends.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in motivating teams to achieve project objectives.
- Analytical skills to identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools and relevant technical applications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
