As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.brbrbResponsibilities:/bbrbr Possess knowledge of and maintain competency in professional nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures as applied to the care of critically ill patients.br Maintain current knowledge of critical care diagnostic and treatment techniques, such as chest tube insertion, central line placement, intubations, and hemodynamic monitoring.br Utilize the nursing diagnosis/nursing process to assess, identify issues/outcomes, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care, which is family-centered, age-appropriate, developmentally, and culturally relevant.brbrbRequirements:/bbrbr Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.br Experience as a staff nurse for one year preferred.br Current American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.br Current ACLS certification.br Current PALS certification.br Current Stroke Certification.br CCRN certification preferred within two years.br Evidence of completing a Critical Care Course is required or completion of AACN ECCO within 9 months of hire.br Good communication skills.brbrbWork Environment:/bbrbrThe work area is well-lit and ventilated. Regularly exposed to the risks of blood-borne and airborne diseases. Contact with patients in a wide variety of circumstances. Exposed to noise, chemicals, communicable diseases, and hazardous materials. Wears personal protective equipment as required.brbrbAvailable Shifts:/bbrbrFull-Time Nights, Full-Time Variable
