Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Feather River Care Center. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our team of certified nursing assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise the daily activities of certified nursing assistants to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are followed and implemented effectively.
  • Participate in the admission, discharge, and transfer of residents as required.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' status to physicians and family members.
  • Transcribe and implement physician orders, and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Provide direct care skills, such as wound care, tube feedings, and IV administration, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform rounds to ensure resident needs are met and personnel are performing their assigned duties.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure residents' needs are met holistically.
  • Report incidents, concerns, or complaints to the Director of Nursing or Administrator, and participate in the investigative process as needed.
  • Participate in end-of-life care and ensure that residents' rights are respected and protected.
Requirements
  • A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or a graduate of an approved RN program.
  • Prior experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.
  • Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in California.
  • Current CPR certification.

  • Patience, tact, and willingness to deal with difficult residents, family members, and staff.
  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday and perform physical tasks as required.
Working Conditions

The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and other hazardous conditions. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality is essential.
