Job Description

As a key member of our team at Signature Flight Support Corporation, the Line Service Agent plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of general aviation aircraft, crews, and passengers. This customer-facing position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, including greeting and assisting with aircraft services, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Aircraft Handling: Safely and efficiently handle aircraft, including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power, and potable water services, parking, marshalling, delivering catering, and towing.
  • Ground Equipment Operation: Operate and drive ground service equipment, such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, and stair trucks, shuttles, etc.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate with customers, crewmembers, and other stakeholders via various methods, including radio communicators and written documentation.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations, including coordinating with other departments and teams as needed.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure work environment, adhering to all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties, such as creating accurate records, maintaining inventory, and completing related documentation.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Age: Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Driver's License: Valid state driver's license; commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required in some locations
  • Background Checks: Pass background checks, including criminal and motor vehicle checks
  • Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and operating equipment
  • Training: Ability to successfully complete Signature's training programs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Three to six months experience in aviation, customer service, or a related field
  • Education: Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field
