Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be based in a local educational institution's kitchen or cafeteria, where your duties will include:

  • Preparing and cooking various food items
  • Portioning and serving meals
  • Upholding sanitation standards in accordance with USDA and state regulations
  • Ensuring adherence to HAACP and health department guidelines
  • Assisting in cost monitoring and inventory management

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to secure necessary clearances and pass background checks
  • Consistent positive attitude towards work
  • Reliable transportation access
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the position
  • Previous experience in food service is advantageous
  • Basic computer proficiency is beneficial
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Engaging in sitting, pushing, and pulling activities
  • Lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds or more
  • Walking as part of the job responsibilities
