Job Overview

Are you an adept problem solver with a passion for information technology? The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is seeking a dedicated Information Technology Technician within the Services and Support Division. This role is pivotal in delivering internal customer assistance as part of the PLCB Help Desk Team, which supports an organization with significant wine and liquor sales across various retail outlets and distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities

The PLCB Help Desk caters to a diverse client base, managing over 2,000 PCs, 1,200 Point of Sale (POS) systems, and a range of networking equipment. You will collaborate within a team environment in Information Technology Services (ITS) and work closely with other divisions to ensure compliance with procedural standards.

This position serves as the first line of technical support, addressing issues through established troubleshooting protocols. Responsibilities include:
  • Handling incoming calls from clients and stores, documenting all interactions for tracking purposes.
  • Escalating complex issues to higher-level support when necessary.
  • Engaging in problem-solving to resolve common technical challenges.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
