The company specializes in the development and manufacturing of acellular tissues for a variety of diseases, injuries, and chronic conditions. Humacyte's flagship product, the Acellular Tissue Engineered Vessel (ATEV), is currently undergoing late-stage clinical trials for multiple vascular applications, including vascular trauma repair and AV access for hemodialysis.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Management Specialist is tasked with overseeing the efficient management of all site service vendors and contractors. This role requires proficiency in inventory management to maintain optimal levels of uniforms, office supplies, break room provisions, and waste management. Familiarity with project management principles is advantageous for the growth of skills and the management of future operational projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee small-scale projects and initiatives in collaboration with various vendors, including managing vendor relationships, purchase orders, and inventory control for office and janitorial supplies.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships that support facilities and site operations, assisting with requests for proposals for potential new service agreements.
  • Ensure that contracted janitorial and pest control services adhere to cGMP standards, taking prompt action when non-conformances are identified.
  • Provide daily support for janitorial services, including the management of cleaning logbooks.
  • Execute administrative tasks and queries for the Facilities and Site Engineering Teams.
  • Act as the Orchestrate Planner for Site Service Operations.
  • Support space planning initiatives.
  • Manage inventory levels for janitorial, office, and break room supplies.
  • Develop service level agreements with vendors to align with minimum service process requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits of services across the facility to ensure compliance with service level agreements, proposing changes or replacements for vendors based on audit findings.
  • Assist the Facility and Site Engineering Teams by issuing requisitions for maintenance services and reconciling invoices as necessary.
  • Ensure that all vendor documentation is collected, reviewed, and properly organized for easy access during audits.
  • Support the development of key performance indicators and reports to assess vendor effectiveness.
  • Provide vendor support for facility operations, including breakroom services, vending, janitorial, groundskeeping, office furniture, and uniform services.
  • Oversee the proper setup of all conference rooms.
  • Establish a process for managing office consumables and supplies efficiently and cost-effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or administrative support.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in creating and managing vendor partnerships across various services.
  • Experience in inventory management for office and break room supplies is required.
  • Formal certification in Microsoft Applications (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, & Word) is preferred.
  • Project Management Certification is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a proactive and positive attitude.
