Job Summary:

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will be responsible for various accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • External Audits: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary support and documentation.
  • Financial Planning: Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial analysis and insights.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations relevant to the renewable energy industry.
  • Communication: Provide financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector or related industry.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards, proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
