Position Overview:

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager will lead the design and implementation of learning strategies to support employee onboarding, skill development, and career growth. This role involves managing onboarding programs, coordinating training efforts, and working with stakeholders to assess development needs. The manager will also oversee the L&D team, ensuring the successful execution of programs aligned with company goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing Onboarding Programs: Lead the creation of comprehensive onboarding programs that integrate new employees into the company culture, provide them with essential skills, and ensure a smooth transition into their roles. Regularly review and refine onboarding materials to stay current with company changes.
  • Learning Strategy Development: Develop learning and development strategies that align with the company's business objectives. This includes identifying skill gaps, future organizational needs, and personal development opportunities, then translating these into actionable learning initiatives.
  • Needs Assessment and Program Customization: Partner with department heads to assess team and individual training needs. Customize training programs based on these assessments to ensure they are relevant and impactful. Implement a feedback loop to consistently enhance training effectiveness.
  • Oversee and Manage Learning Initiatives: Supervise the design and delivery of training programs, workshops, and developmental activities across departments. Ensure all programs are interactive and engaging to maximize retention and application of new knowledge.
  • Budget Management and Vendor Coordination: Manage the L&D budget, allocate resources effectively, and negotiate contracts with external training providers. Establish strong relationships with external consultants and vendors to ensure the highest quality learning solutions.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead the L&D team, including training specialists and coordinators. Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to your team, helping them grow in their roles. Ensure the team delivers top-tier learning experiences across all levels of the company.
  • Program Evaluation and Reporting: Implement tools and metrics to assess the effectiveness of all training programs. Report on the ROI of learning initiatives, making data-driven decisions to improve content and delivery methods.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field (Master's preferred). Professional certifications (e.g., CPLP) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in HR related fields, with experience in leadership or management roles.
  • Prior experience in the Oil/Gas/Energy industry is preferred.
  • Experience working in international and multicultural environment is a plus.
