Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Dermatology team in Garden City. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with our dermatology team to provide expert care for patients with a range of skin conditions, from acne to skin cancer.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide education to patients and families on skin health and disease management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staying up-to-date on the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in dermatology.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse License and NYS Nurse Practitioner License.
  • Current certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., dermatology, family medicine).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in dermatology or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
