Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Overview

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform intricate assembly tasks on various in-process units. This role emphasizes proficiency in activities such as electrical wiring, brazing, and the installation of air compressors. You will be tasked with handling mobile units, installing wire harnesses, and connecting wires according to provided schematics. The use of various tools, including mallets, hand tools, rivet guns, and power tools, will be essential for compressor installations. Additionally, you will apply silicone and operate machinery for foaming, ensuring that the final products meet the required insulation standards. Expect to engage in both mechanical assembly and physically demanding tasks such as caulking and foaming.
Essential Skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with power tools
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting
Employment Type

This position is offered as a Contract-to-Hire opportunity, with a total commitment of 320 hours.
Work Environment

This role is based in a fully on-site setting. The work environment consists of a standard fabrication and assembly operation, divided into two distinct areas. The fabrication zone is equipped with large machinery and designated workstations for hand tool operations, while the assembly area, though organized, may feel somewhat confined. The facility maintains a temperature-controlled atmosphere; however, the use of protective clothing may lead to increased warmth. Shifts are available, including the first shift from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with mandatory overtime on Fridays. Personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements include steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, protective sleeves, and cut-resistant gloves. Proper work attire is essential.
