Position Overview:
LEAD Technical is collaborating with a manufacturing firm to identify a qualified Industrial Maintenance Technician for a full-time, direct-hire role. This position offers excellent benefits and is designed for the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will possess a robust mechanical background complemented by some electrical experience in an industrial maintenance context. Responsibilities include ensuring the seamless operation of production machinery and equipment, conducting repairs, operating plant support machinery, and executing preventative maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment, dismantling as necessary to access defective components.
- Make necessary adjustments to guarantee efficient operation.
- Operate and maintain plant support machinery, including boilers, softeners, and compressors.
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance protocols for all machinery and equipment.
- Perform general industrial maintenance tasks, including working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge of metalworking processes, including cutting, fabricating, and welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for installation and troubleshooting.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment such as meters and gauges effectively.
- Exhibit a willingness to learn about all plant operations, including production and safety equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing.
- Proven experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in an industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
