Housing Specialist Job Description:
We are seeking a Housing Specialist to join our team in Brooklyn. This role will work closely with our Case Management staff to identify potential clients for housing and negotiate lease agreements with landlords and/or realtor management companies.

About the Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor's degree and at least two to three years of community-based residential management experience. You should have knowledge of applicable state and city housing and disability laws and codes, as well as be computer literate. A valid driver's license is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain working relationships with landlord and management companies
* Create and maintain a liaison with DHS Housing Placement Unit
* Ensure compliance with established housing laws, building codes, and lease agreements
* Identify potential clients for housing and negotiate lease agreements
* Resolve crises or conflicts with landlords and management companies
* Monitor, evaluate, and revise housing management relationships
